All over the UK you can find sporting venues and stadiums which are used for the sporting events that they were designed for, but did you know that they have amazing facilities for conferences exhibitions and other corporate events too? In addition to having plenty of space for a wide range of events, most have onsite parking making it easier for your delegates or audience to reach. If you have outgrown your current venue, why not consider using a sporting venue to grow and spread into?
Here are 6 of the best ones across the UK to consider:
This is the largest event space in the south west of England and can seat 1000 delegates theatre style. If you have a huge event to arrange, the stadium itself seats 27,000! In total there is 5000 sq m of conference and exhibition space including 36 meeting rooms.
Situated just outside Brighton, with an onsite railway station and free parking for 1000, this is certainly a venue to consider. Three of the internal ground floor concourses are linked giving a huge U-shaped exhibition space, whilst the Bupa Lounge can accommodate a gala dinner for 500.
Just minutes for central London and St Pancras International, Emirates Stadium has a range of rooms for hire from blank canvas suites for 600 seated or 1200 reception, to much smaller spaces that work well for meetings and private dinners. Most of the rooms have floor to ceiling windows making them feel roomy and light.
Whilst we are all very familiar with Royal Ascot races, did you know that this venue has amazing conference and exhibition facilities? It has a capacity for conference and training events from 10 to 3000. The Galleria offers 4000 sq m of exhibition space with a stunning 27m high atrium. Convenient for Heathrow and all major road systems, Ascot makes the perfect solution for any type of event.
Home to England Rugby, Twickenham Stadium has excellent conference and exhibition facilities together with plenty of onsite parking and Twickenham station a short walk away. The Rose Suite has a capacity of 800 seated and 1200 reception style. There are 25 dedicated meeting and conference rooms in total, some with views over the hallowed turf… You can also treat your delegates to a guided tour which included the Rugby Museum. Always a winner for male delegates!
Now this is not a sporting venue, but we had to include it because it is amazing! It is an interactive science discovery centre in Cardiff Bay. Not as large as the other venues listed here, but it does have a capacity of 300 seated and 500 reception style. Stunning waterside views, parking facilities and excellent public transport links to the city centre makes Techniquest a favourite with our corporate clients.
