From this Friday through to the 19th December, our favourite pop-up party company is coming back to London for a festive knees-up – and we absolutely can’t wait to see the much anticipated return of Night Tales.
Night Tales run something of a secretive operation, and you won’t find much information about their events online. Finding out the where’s and when’s of their parties means signing up to their website and developing relationships with fellow members – it’s a fantastic way to meet like-minded peers in the city. We at Function Fixers, however, have all the inside knowledge you need to get a feel of Night Tales before you dive into this vibrant and enthusiastic community.
Having put on some truly unique and memorable parties in the capital during summer 2014, Night Tales are coming back to London this December to transform a 10,000sq.ft car park in Shoreditch into a stunning winter wonderland. For seven nights running, you can visit this unusual spectacular to enjoy the wild gardens, private themed chalets (where beer flows freely), quirky concept bars, roaring log fires around every corner and an enormous canvas roof to keep the weather out.
The music for the evening will be provided by some of the most talked-about budding house, techno, disco and funk DJs from up and down the UK – including Rudimental, Bill Brewster, Gorgon City and Dan Beaumont.
You’ll be spoilt for choice as to which cocktails to try, which beers to sample and what wine you should share – there is never a shortage of bars at a Night Tales event. Even at some of the company’s biggest and busiest functions, we don’t think we’ve ever been kept waiting for drinks for more that 2 or 3 minutes. Also, you can expect to find a wide range of food on offer, including Caribbean curries, organic hand crafted burgers and fresh baked pizza. Visit on a Friday or Saturday, and you’ll also discover a charming (and large) Christmas market displaying arts, crafts, food and drinks.
A word of advice – even though this event will technically be ‘outdoors’, the canopy not only provides shelter but also retains the warmth of all the open fires. Night Tales don’t mess around when it comes to bonfires – they will be big, and there will be many. If you’re planning on dancing the evening away, bear in mind that the temperature inside the venue will be a far cry from the icey chill of the great outdoors.
You still need to sign up to Night Tales’ website to get tickets for this event, and it’s well worth doing so to hear about their future plans. Soon enough, you’ll find yourself immersed in a community with a fun, peaceful and exciting common goal, and also have access to special offers on drinks, tickets and prizes.
