6 best places to watch World Cup 2026

,

The FIFA World Cup 2026 promises to be the biggest football tournament ever staged. With 48 teams competing across the USA, Canada and Mexico, there will be more matches, more drama and more opportunities for businesses to bring clients, colleagues and teams together.

World Cup key dates

  • Group stage: June 11-27
  • Round of 32: June 28 to July 3
  • Round of 16: July 4-7
  • Quarter-finals: July 9-11
  • Semi-finals: July 14-15
  • Third-place play-off (‘Bronze final’): July 18
  • Final: July 19

A total of 72 matches will be played during the Group Stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The tournament will feature 48 teams, divided into 12 groups of four. The top two teams from each group, along with the eight best third-placed teams, will progress to the knockout phase.

The Round of 32 will see these 32 teams compete in a single-elimination format, with the winners advancing to the Round of 16. From there, the competition continues through the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals, with each match determining who progresses and who is eliminated.

The two losing semi-finalists will meet in the Third Place Play-Off, while the tournament culminates in the FIFA World Cup Final on Sunday 19 July 2026, when the world champions will be crowned.

Whether you’re planning a corporate hospitality event, client entertainment evening, networking gathering or simply looking to reward your team, hosting a World Cup viewing event can create a memorable shared experience.

Here are six of London’s best venues for watching the World Cup in style.

1. Between the Bridges, South Bank

If you’re looking for atmosphere, it’s hard to beat Between the Bridges. Situated on London’s South Bank with spectacular views of the Thames and London Eye, this venue combines giant screens, street food, bars and festival-style energy.

With three venues, 3 giant video walls, multiple bars, and 7 incredible street food traders on site, we’ve got everything you need to make every match an occasion.

Best for: Large corporate groups, summer parties and informal client entertainment.

2. BOXPARK Shoreditch

BOXPARK has become one of London’s most popular destinations for major sporting events, and World Cup 2026 is likely to be no exception.

The venue features huge HD screens, multiple bars and a wide selection of street food vendors. Private areas can be reserved for corporate groups, making it a great option for companies looking to combine networking with football.

Best for: Team socials, client events and younger audiences.

3. The Brewery

For businesses seeking a more premium World Cup experience, The Brewery offers a sophisticated setting in the heart of the City.

Its versatile event spaces can accommodate anything from intimate viewing lounges to large-scale screenings with hospitality packages, drinks receptions and catering.

The venue’s central location makes it particularly appealing for City-based businesses entertaining clients.

Best for: Corporate hospitality, networking events and executive entertaining.

4. Evolution London

Located in Battersea Park, Evolution London is one of the capital’s largest purpose-built event venues.

Its impressive scale allows organisers to create immersive World Cup experiences complete with giant screens, themed food stations, branded environments and live entertainment.

For businesses looking to host hundreds of guests, few venues offer the same level of flexibility.

Best for: Large-scale corporate events and sponsor activations.

5. TOCA Social at The O2

Football fans will love TOCA Social, the world’s first interactive football entertainment venue.

Alongside live World Cup screenings, guests can take part in football-based games and challenges, creating a far more engaging experience than simply watching a match.

Food, drinks and private event spaces make it ideal for team-building events and client entertainment.

Best for: Interactive corporate events and team rewards.

6. Silver Sturgeon

For something truly memorable, why not watch the World Cup from the River Thames?

Silver Sturgeon combines luxury hospitality with spectacular London views. Large screens can be installed throughout the vessel, while guests enjoy premium dining and drinks packages.

The result is a World Cup experience unlike any traditional sports bar or fan zone.

Best for: VIP hospitality, client entertaining and executive events.

For groups of 10–50 people, here are 6 more. Unlike large fan zones, they allow smaller parties to enjoy the action together while still having space to talk, eat, drink and network if needed.

1. Greenwood

One of London’s most stylish sports bars, combining large HD screens with a premium food and drinks offering. Private areas can be reserved for teams and clients, making it a natural choice for corporate match viewing.

Best for: Corporate hospitality and client entertainment.

2. The Parlour

A Canary Wharf favourite with a large outdoor terrace, multiple screens and plenty of space for group bookings. Ideal for after-work World Cup gatherings.

Best for: Financial and professional services teams.

3. Long Arm Sports Pub & Brewery

A modern craft beer venue with large screens and a relaxed Shoreditch atmosphere. Great for creative agencies, tech companies and informal client events.

Best for: Team socials and networking.

4. The Dugout

A dedicated sports venue with private hire options and excellent AV. Convenient for guests travelling into London and ideal for medium-sized corporate groups.

Best for: Private screening events.

5. BrewDog Waterloo

One of London’s largest bars with giant screens, extensive food options and multiple event spaces. The atmosphere is lively without feeling like a traditional sports pub.

Best for: Larger team events of 20–50 guests.

6. Flight Club Shoreditch

Not a dedicated sports bar, but an excellent choice for combining World Cup screenings with social darts, food and drinks. A more interactive option for companies looking to create a full evening experience.
