Booking a venue post Covid-19; will it be safe?
The past 4-5 months have had a devastating effect on businesses large and small. Companies have held virtual events using Zoom and Teams etc, but nothing can beat the real face to face meetings and company conferences in order to fully engage audiences.
Most venues still remain closed, but behind the scenes a huge transformation is taking place in order to make them safe and to enable them to open their doors for events. Every step possible is being taken to provide the best possible environment for “live” events. You will be able to book a venue from as early as 4th July. Of course numbers may be limited if the 2 meter social distancing is still in place (although 1 meter is now also being considered), but it will be possible to host an event from then onwards.
Whilst many people may be very anxious about attending an event, every venue or group of venues has devised a stringent procedure to ensure everyone’s safety at all times.
Lime Venue Portfolio

LVP represent a number of unique venues right across the UK, ranging from the QE11 centre in London, the Royal Armouries in Leeds and Edinburgh Zoo Mansion House. Their Stay Safe, Feel Safe charter lvp-stay-safe-feel-safe-covid-secure-charter has been devised to reassure event organisers who need to start planning external events. The five point charter includes cleaning and hygiene, social distancing, food and drink, team training and competitive rates and rescheduling terms, and it’s objective is to be certain that as soon as everyone begins to plan and attend events again, they are clear in the knowledge that every step has been taken to ensure their safety.
Radisson Hotels

Radisson are a group of international hotels with 1100 hotels worldwide with seven distinct brands. Some of their hotels have the capacity for large numbers of delegates and are widely used for conferences and events. In readiness for their hotel openings, they have devised a 20 step protocol for hotels and 10 step protocol for meetings and events. This includes physical distancing, increased cleaning and disinfecting, improved air circulation to improve air quality, protective barrier at registration desk, sanitising stations, ‘grab and go’ individually packaged food, properly spaced tables, team training, team member temperature checks and PPE.
