At-Bristol – a truly unique venue for conferencing, corporate events and receptions
At-Bristol is a truly magnificent venue. This registered charity is one of the UK’s most well regarded Science and Discovery Centres, and offers contemporary and versatile events spaces for corporate hire, private events and charity functions. Situated in the historic city centre, just next door to Bristol Cathedral, this modern and striking building immediately captures the imagination and has been designed to accommodate large events.
The Bristol Aquarium is the most unusual space available for hire here, and features an ‘underwater garden’ room housing tropical ponds, Mediterranean plants and a stunning white tented ceiling that can be lit up in the colours of your choice. This room also benefits from a spacious foyer, which boasts an excellent lighting system and natural daylight – making it ideal for product display, or a light and airy space in which to serve welcome drinks.
For conferences in the Aquarium, a large range of AV equipment is available, and easily set up on the cleverly designed structural supports in almost any layout. Upstairs, there’s even a fully equipped break out room that has office equipment and presentation facilities.
The Large Screen Theatre houses 350 seats and offers state of the art AV technologies. With removable lecterns and podiums and a variety of lighting options, it’s incredible easy to brand this crisp, clean space and personalise the environment to suit your needs. The seating is incredible comfortable and offers plenty of elbow room, and even the most knowledgeable IT expert wouldn’t be able to name a gadget that doesn’t call this room home.
The impressive Rosalind Franklin Room offers the ideal space for receptions for up to 480 guests. This blank canvas space has views over the cathedral and Millennium Square, and your guests can soak up the city skyline from enormous decked terraces.
An excellent venue choice for a BBQ in summer, but also a fantastic spot for admiring Bristol’s Christmas lights (particularly those of the cathedral), this space is also suited for exhibitions, presentations and creative sessions.
Catering is all taken care of on site, and you’ll get generous portions of fresh food for anywhere between £10 ad £20pp for a working lunch, and £17 to £50pp for banqueting, buffets and fine dining. Every package is bespoke and designed around your requirements, and overall, we at Function Fixers think that At-Bristol offers remarkable value for money for such an accessible, high quality and intelligently designed venue. The cherry on the cake, of course, is that all the profits from events go straight back into the funding and upkeep of this extraordinary building.
