Brunel’s Old Station – Bristol’s largest events venue
Brunel’s Old Station is the venue of choice in the area for conferences, corporate entertainment events, exhibitions and private functions on a grand scale. This architectural masterpiece was designed in 1841, and now in the 21st century, this Grade 1 listed building provides a cavernous yet intricate and beautiful space in the heart of Bristol (just next to Temple Meads Railway Station), and now boasts the status of one of the 5 largest events venues in the South West.
The 9.7m high ceiling is complimented by 54.3m x 27.6m of floor space, allowing you to build your ideal setting by being as extravagant or as subtle as you like. This venue oozes theatricality having had nothing done to it at all – so anything you add will only enhance the space, no matter what shape, size or colour it may be.
Able to host 200 – 800 guests and offering a wealth of modern conveniences and technologies, this blank canvas space can be adapted to suit almost any kind of occasion. The entire venue has WiFi and three-phase power, and it can play host to anything from a West Country Cider Festival to a lavish themed wedding.
The adjoining Passenger Shed has become a popular venue for smaller events, and offers an atmospheric, slightly more intimate environment able to hold up to 700 people standing or 500 for a seated dinner followed by dancing. Ideal for concerts and presentations due to its excellent acoustics, this room has also proved a perfect choice for those looking to theme a large space – as it provides plenty of power points, decorating opportunities and flexible lighting.
Function Fixers can arrange fantastic DDR deals at The Passenger Shed for as little as £28.50 per person, which includes hire for 10 hours, tables & chairs for 400 people, 3 refreshment breaks, unlimited water and sweets, notepads & pens, a 2 course lunch and a dedicated events manager!
