Camden Beach – fantastic summer events, both private and public. Get a great all-inclusive deal with Function Fixers!
Private:
This summer, Function Fixers can arrange the ultimate private beach party in a city centre location. Overlooking Camden Beach, The Roundhouse itself and The BT Tower, The Roundhouse have built an outdoor party venue by using the finest sand, sun loungers, a bar and trees to create an urban holiday destination.
You can rent this space from 12pm to 5pm, or 6pm to 11pm daily during July and August – and we can still get bookings at the last minute for 2014!
The most appealing feature of this pop-up summer venue is the private swimming pool. Your guests are free to swim and roam about as they please, and you’ll also have a widescreen TV and sound system so you can watch those all-important footy games or perhaps play the music videos of your choice.
The venue can hold up to 120 people, and the hire fee is set at £3,200 (including VAT). This buys you venue hire, a security team and towel hire for your guests.
However, Function Fixers can go one more and get you a great deal – just £87 per person (no hidden or extra charges, not even for our service) will get you all of the above, but you’ll also receive a Prosecco and canapé reception for your guests, an unlimited supply of wine, beer, soft drinks and popcorn, and also, a generous dinner of fish’n’chips. This price also includes VAT, and really does offer very good value for money – as you’ll also benefit from the services of an Event Host, who will oversee proceedings so you have more time to mingle and relax with your guests.
It’s also possible to hire amusement games and fairground-style attractions here, and you’re welcome to personalise the space as long as you can set up and take down your decorations in good time before and after your event, and you won’t step on the toes of other people who are hiring the venue on the same day. Unfortunately, its not possible at this stage to book both the daytime and evening slots for one long party here, simply due to the level of popular demand and attention this venue has received since its hugely successful debut a couple of years ago.
Public:
If you’d like to soak up the atmosphere but aren’t interested in hosting a private event, entry to Camden Beach (weather permitting) is free of charge and well worth doing. A large public bar is in residence and serves up all manner of tasty liquid treats at very reasonable prices, and you can find a spot on the sand to enjoy a bite to eat from one of the many food stalls. You can get a hot dog and a glass of champagne here for £12, or a hot dog with Proscecco for just £9. These aren’t cheap, horrible hot dogs either – you’ll get responsibly sourced meat fresh from the grill in a fluffy bread bun, not a salty cylindrical disaster in chemical-clad economy dough.
There’s also a rum shack with a pirate theme that only opens from Friday evening until Sunday during summer months, but it’s a novel thing indeed to sip such a sinful juice so openly and comfortably in what feels like a public, city centre location.
The only thing we should warn you about is this – The Beach is not what you’d call ‘family friendly’. This is definitely a grown-up’s party, and there is lots of booze, lots of music, and on particularly sunny days, you may see quite a lot of skin on show. Dogs aren’t allowed either (for obvious reasons), but if you’re looking for an adult party in a nostalgic setting, the ice cream trucks, arcade games and general nostalgic beach fun will take you right back to your youth. It’ll be like celebrating the end of your exams by going to Newquay again…expect you’ll be acting considerably more responsibly and enjoying the finer things in life – none of those 3 litre bottles of supermarket brand cider or the dreaded expectation of not getting served. What could be better?!
Call Function Fixers now to learn more about hosting your event at The Roundhouse’s fantastic beach-themed party space!
