Gurgl Carat – Europe’s highest Congress Center

Top modern Gurgl Carat Congress and Event Center is located at almost 2,000 m above sea level in Tirol’s Ötztal. In the largest hall, Schalfkogel, there is space for 500 people in theater style seating. A highly flexible room concept also makes it possible to hold meetings in up to four rooms at the same time. The hall level can also be completely opened for gala dinners or other festive occasions. Large windows provide scenic views of the majestic mountains of uppermost Ötztal Valley. In addition to a light-flooded foyer, the ground floor has an organizer’s office – ideal for registration. The roofed outdoor area can be made wind and weatherproof thanks to mobile transparent tent walls. There is plenty of space for large trade fairs, shows and exhibitions.

With a total of 21 4-star hotels and 3,500 guest beds in a mountain village with only 400 inhabitants, Gurgl offers premium accommodation infrastructure for companies and customers of Gurgl Carat. All accommodation is located in close proximity and can easily be reached on foot. This makes Gurgl one of the most popular event villages in the Alps.

Event technology and service at the highest level

The centerpiece of Gurgl Carat is the 100 m² front screen with three powerful full HD projectors and edge blending. Over a length of 20 meters, presentations become impressive performances and product demonstrations cause true goosebumps moments. The high-quality L-Acoustics sound system also provides video shows in a cinema atmosphere. The technical equipment is rounded off by the professional PIXERA media server system, digital wireless microphone links, a full HD webcam system, media control via tablet and many other technical highlights.

The service offered by the event location is also top-class. The expert Gurgl Carat event team accompanies customers from event planning to implementation and debriefing.  Gurgl Carat bundles all event services, such as room rental, catering, hotel accommodation as well as side programs and incentives. It greatly simplifies the planning and booking process for customers, because there is always a central contact person who coordinates all requests. The team is also on site during the event and ensures that the event runs smoothly.

Varied side programs – from nature to culture

Gurgl Carat is located in the center of Ötztal’s village of Obergurgl and offers countless options for exciting side and activity programs in nature outside of the events. In summer, hiking trails, mountain lifts, biking routes and climbing spots are just a few walking minutes away. In winter, seminar participants can look forward to the advantages of being in one of the top winter sports destinations in the Alpine region. Around 112 kilometers of immaculate slopes start almost opposite the congress center. Other winter activities such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or avalanche training courses can also be found nearby. The varied side program is completed by many weather-independent offers such as cooking lessons, beer and wine tastings, visits to museums and many more attractions. Thanks to the central location of Gurgl Carat, all accommodation and other infrastructure facilities are within easy walking distance. In general, cars and shuttle buses are not needed here.
