One of Central London’s most glamorous wedding venues – Charing Cross Hotel

The Guoman Charing Cross Hotel is one of Central London’s most desirable venues for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Impressive from the very start, the lobby features a stunning marble staircase that takes your guests up to several different function rooms. There are events spaces ranging in size to hold just 16 to a whopping 250 people, and by far the most impressive of these is the Betjeman Suite.
This glorious Victorian party venue features a unique marble patterned dance floor, tall sash windows, sparkling antique chandeliers and an elegant sculpted ceiling. Edward Middleton Barry designed this room – the same man who designed the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden; so as you can imagine, no expense or detail has been spared in the decoration, lighting and furnishing of this spectacular venue. Seating 150 in cabaret style with plenty of room around the dance floor, this suite also has the advantage of state of the art facilities to accommodate the sound and lighting needs of your entertainers, musicians and DJs- making it a ready-made 21st century party space, but set within a precious Victorian structure that still retains its character and charm.
Needless to say, the food on offer is superb and there’s a lengthy list of wines, champagnes and beer to choose from; with package deals also available depending on your numbers, requirements and the date of your wedding. You’ll receive a bespoke service from start to finish, so you can shape the course of your day and know exactly where your budget is being spent.
One of the biggest attractions for newlyweds is the choice of accommodation available at the Hotel. With incredible views across The Strand and Trafalgar Square, the rooms here are remarkably spacious and have only the most luxurious furnishings, while also offering every accessory and extra imaginable. Everything from heated bathroom mirrors (no condensation – amazing) to high-end spa toiletries, Egyptian linen sheets to matching dressing gowns and slippers. Your guests can choose from a variety of rooms from singles to suites, but we suggest you go for an Executive King.
These 29 rooms use warmer and more romantic colours than the rest of the larger rooms on offer, and come with by far the prettiest bathrooms – all kitted out in white marble and features rain effect showers as well as enormous bathtubs. There’s high speed WiFi in each of them, and plenty of space for the bridal party to prepare before the big day happens. Room rates can be significantly reduced for those hosting an event at the hotel when you book through Function Fixers – so if you did want a larger suite, just let us know…
In the morning, you’ll wake up to a magnificent breakfast with views over London; and then it’s off, off and away to your next destination. If you’re going on Honeymoon, the Hotel has a bespoke limousine service to escort you to any London airport – the ideal way to round off what we’re sure will have been an idyllic wedding. In the meantime, your guests will have no problem finding their way home, since Charing Cross Station is just a stone’s throw away! Remember, we at Function Fixers can also help to source local, cost-effective hotel accommodation for your guests.
Call Function Fixers to discuss booking the Guoman Charing Cross Hotel for your wedding – we still have some last minute dates for 2014, and we can get the best deals for 2015 before they go on the market!
