Unique bar venue available for private hire in Central London
Balfour St Bart’s has earned a solid reputation as Central London’s most popular venues for dinner, drinks and dancing. All the food here is sourced from neighbouring Smithfield Market, with fresh fruit, dairy products and veg being brought in daily from farms around the city. Available for private hire for up to 250 guests, this is a stylish and vibrant destination for an evening reception, and is just minutes away from Farringdon and Barbican tube stations.

St. Bart’s is made up of 5 sections; The Balfour Bar and The Mezzanine upstairs, and The Stage, The Dance floor and The Lounge downstairs – all of which are available for hire either separately or in conjunction with each other.
The Balfour Bar can hold 30 seated or 40 standing guests, and has a fully stocked bar containing all kinds of wine, beers, ales and cocktail making ingredients. The design of the room, and also its drinks menu, is inspired by classic British culture – so you can expect bitters with bizarre names, amusing ornaments and lush leather seating. Often hired as a secluded private dining room, this space is the only one that is completely cut off from the main venue, and is accessed by a double door leading off the Mezzanine.

Due to this convenient layout, The Mezzanine is often hired alongside The Balfour Bar, thus giving you the entire upstairs space to use for your function.
The Stage is fully equipped to meet your sound, lighting and other AV needs (including screens for presentations and plasma TVs for image display), and features built-in technologies that allow for both bands and DJs. Being a live music venue by trade, St Bart’s welcomes a good loud party and holds a late license – ideal if you want your party to go on that little bit longer!

The Lounge is just far enough away from the Dance Floor and Bar to provide some tranquility and opportunity for chatter rather than shouting, and the bar is large enough to accommodate the venue at full capacity (250 people).

Canapés, buffets, sharing platters or formal sit down meals are all catered for on site, and the setup and layout of the furniture is entirely up to you. Fun and informal wine tastings are available as a treat for your guests, and live music can be quickly recommended and arranged by this seasoned and music-centric venue.
