Top pubs in London to host your business meeting

Planning that all important meeting can be a pain. Finding a venue, organising all the logistics and in the end you are in the same old stuffy and corporate setting as every meeting before. Perhaps this time a change is in order? Do you want some real fresh food and something thirst quenching to drink, instead if those anaemic looking sandwiches and warmish flask of coffee? Or maybe you have a client that you wish to impress the old fashioned way? You may have a hard working team that deserves a change of scenery and a pint? Perhaps it’s time to take it to the pub!

London is teeming with fantastic pubs that are perfect to hold meetings of all kinds and can provide everything that you could possibly need to make your event go without a hitch. Here are a few place sure to wet your appetite (and whistle)!

De Hems, Soho

de hems
A Dutch café bar at heart with a rich history and pedigree dating to the 17th century. The name De Hems comes from a Dutch seaman who bought the pub in 1890. Above the main bar sits a spacious and welcoming meeting room and events space. Perfect for smaller meetings of up to 24. The large windows make this a very bright and light space, ideal for that breakfast or daytime meeting. Great central Location with good availability in the week. Each year they celebrate the famous Dutch national holiday ‘King’s Day’, book early and get involved in the celebrations!

The Hornimans, London Bridge

Within a short potter of London Bridge Tube and HMS Belfast you will find The Horniman at Hays. Based at the site of the tea warehouse of famous tea dealer, Frederick Hornmian, the building has a real air of history, decorated with friezes depicting Horminan’s travels to Africa, India and the Americas. The wharfside cellar bar is a superb meeting room for up to 80, with a good size projector and screen included. Great fresh food, unique character and an eclectic range of real ales.

The Admiralty, Trafalgar Square

Just a stone’s throw from Nelson’s Column is The Admiralty, themed on the decks of HMS victory and offering great food, London brews and an unbeatable central location. Book The Admiral’s Cabin that can seat up to 14 in a boardroom style with plasma screens and full meeting facilities. Refined, private and very tastefully decorated, this space is sure to give your meeting the formal and professional touch while keeping the qualities of a good ol’ London pub. Rule Britannia.

The Counting House, Bank

First built in 1893 to be a great banking hall, with chandeliers, domed high ceilings and many of the original fixtures and fittings, The Counting House is oozing with impressive 19th Century grandeur.
Why not take advantage of The Griffin Meeting Room, seating up to about 60-70 theatre style or 20-25 boardroom style. Full AV facilities and bar in the room plus breakout space and cloakroom facilities. The Counting House is a one stop shop for that all important meeting.

Rocket, Bishopsgate

Though not strictly a pub, Rocket Restaurant Bishopsgate has the very same unique feel.. Vibrant and bright, with a focus on fresh food, signature & classic cocktails, premium spirits, world beers, inspiring wines & Champagnes you are sure to find something that all you guests and attendees will enjoy. Having recently gone under upgrades, the Mezzanine Room makes a perfect meeting room, with its glazed balcony doors and flexible space can now host a whole array of meeting and day delegate events.
