Unusual Conference Venues In London That You Never Knew Existed
The conference market in London can seem very crowded, making it difficult for your event to stand out. Having an unusual conference venue will help sell your conference as a ‘must attend’, especially if you choose a venue that has not been traditionally seen as event space. We have chosen some of our favourite London venues that you might not have known existed which promise to fascinate your delegates.
Faber Creative Spaces – this is a Grade II listed building, located within the renowned publishers, Faber and Faber. An evocative location in Bloomsbury inspires thoughts of the Bloomsbury Set of artists, philosophers and writers. This is ideal for intimate, creative conferences with a flexible space with two rooms – the Academy Space and the Event Space.
St James Theatre Theatres are a natural fit for conferences but finding one in a central location that can meet the demands of large, modern conferences can be a struggle. St James Theatre is the newest theatre in London which was purpose built and opened in 2012. This unusual conference venue combines an easy access location next to Victoria Station (so ideal for delegates from both outside and inside London) with the theatre itself (which can hold up to 300 seated), the studio and bar which are all available for hire for conferences of different sizes. As a very new venue you can be assured of all mod cons.
Ranger’s House – this is an elegant Georgian Villa in the heart of Blackheath, South East London. Close to historic Greenwich and the Olympic Equestrian site it is steeped in history. Often hired for weddings this can make a glamorous backdrop to your conference with plenty of history to keep your delegates interested. There are indoor and outdoor spaces available, including a beautiful Walled Garden. Ideal for conferences of between 60 and 100 delegates.
Embankment East at Somerset House is a stunning space located inside the iconic Somerset House, known to most London visitors as the home of the beautiful Christmas ice rink. Embankment East has been recently reinvented, and has both breathtaking light and space thanks to it’s dramatic steel glass feature staircase. This is a flexible space with room for up to 100 delegates, with private tours available of some of the collections to ensure your delegates make the most of the stunning venue.

London Cru This is a spectacular venue, truly unusual within London, London Cru is Central London’s first winery, originally a gin distillery. Work began in 2013 to transform it into the winery. Close to Earl’s Court, your conference could be held surrounded by the stainless steel tanks housing the wine. With seated capacity of up to 50, this is a fabulous location for your conference. Bound to impress your delegates, this is one of our favourites and bound to become a favourite on the events scene in years to come.
