Youve Never Seen Anything Like It…
Beach Blanket Babylon is a truly unique venue. Decorated in baroque style and thoroughly opulent throughout, walking into this venue is like taking a trip back in time. It looks like the sort of place you’d need a membership to get into, but their doors are wide open to all kinds of events.
Incredible food is on offer here and served all day, every day. If you wanted a working lunch with a difference, or a coffee and cake with friends, perhaps even just a well-deserved, mid-shopping cocktail – the ‘BBB’ (as it’s fondly known) makes a brilliant alteative to the norm.
You can arrange to hire their Ballroom, able to hold 110, for an effortlessly themed masquerade or fancy dress ball, readily decorated with lavish materials and classical accessories.
As far as the restaurant is conceed, there are plenty of different spaces going on here. There is The Gallery, a more secretive and romantic space, under low level arched ceilings and drowned in candlelight. There’s also The Scullery, for smaller parties of 4-6, which is a small but perfectly formed grotto of texture and privacy. The Crypt is in a twisted arch of ancient brickwork, and The Chapel, seating 25-30, which is a stunning enclosed space with a blend of church style spikes and curves, beautifully contrasting with an open fire and lit brickwork ceiling, complete with chandelier.
For private dining, you can hire The Crypt and The Chapel exclusively according to numbers, and the aforementioned Ballroom for larger events, but the venue has one more trick up its sleeve. The Drawing Room can seat 15 for dinner, and is a sophisticated and grandiose option for smaller parties.
Of course, whatever your event, you will no doubt enjoy the eclectic and well-prepared food here, as well as the list of exotic and high quality beverages.
