An exceptional venue in Surrey for a unique experience

For any horticultural enthusiasts, or business that prides itself on being eco-friendly and perhaps even green-fingered, The Glasshouse at RHS Wisley is a fantastic venue in which to hold your event.  More than 5,000 cultivated plants reside in its 12.5m high glass dome, including enormous trees, decorated with waterfalls and still pools.  The pathways lead you upwards into the canopies, and by the end of a fascinating walk, you will be able to look down upon this incredible space – making even those most humble feel surreally god-like.

The venue is available to hire from 7-11pm on any evening, holds 550 maximum, and guests can enjoy views over the Amphitheatre landscaped gardens (including the spectacular lake), which are cleverly and atmospherically lit up after dark.  If you’re lucky with the weather, the venue is more than happy to allow you to stroll at your leisure around the grounds.

Perhaps one of the main selling points here is that whatever the weather, your guests will feel sheltered, warm, but equally free to roam within this vast expanse of plants and vegetation.  In fact, this space covers the equivalent square meters of 10 tennis courts, and is divided into three zones – tropical, moist temperate and dry temperate habitats.

Catering is well looked after, and provided by the venue’s tried and trusted caterer, who can create a range of drinks and canapés suitable for your event.

The Glasshouse was initially built, of course, for educational purposes. Both the Leaing Space and the Growing Lab give visitors the chance to lea more, and get some fun, hands-on experience.  So, if you’re holding any kind of event to raise awareness for deforestation, animal preservation, or an event for a wildlife charity, this is definitely a fantastic venue in which to hold it.
