Christ Church Spitalfields – one of London’s best church venues
Christ Church Spitalfields is a stunning 300-year old Grade 1 listed building, with a maximum capacity of 600 people, conveniently located just a few minutes walk from Liverpool Street station.
With one enormous blank canvas space and two overlooking mezzanine galleries, this versatile venue also offers a private and stylish Boardroom able to seat 25. Up to 270 people can be seated for banqueting and dinner dances here, in truly magnificent and atmospheric surroundings. With some imaginative lighting and even just minimal decorations, this space can be transformed into an unforgettable party venue – while also lending itself to corporate occasions and conferences – due to the excellent acoustics, adaptable space and opportunity for the use of high tech AV equipment.
This entrance vestibule to the Nave and the south corridor in the Nave provides reception/registration space for events when required.
The Vestibule provides a warm welcome, as well as an ideal reception area for registrations. Cloakroom facilities are available here, as are plenty of bathrooms and some interesting information points about this historic building – which always proves a popular talking point with guests.
The Old Vestry Room is a beautiful private Boardroom, located in the bell tower and offering beautiful views. This room can be hired for meetings or as additional space when hiring the Nave – contact us here to find out more.
A true wonder of Baroque architecture, this building has been stylishly and sympathetically restored. Glass-paned doors are met with ancient stone walls, and 21st century technologies are nestled within 19th century nooks and crannies at Christ Church, and the entire building has been modernized while still retaining its character. The Nave (main events space) offers rich oak paneling and a Purbeck stone floor, looming while columns, and intricate flowers painted on the ceiling, lit up by gold chandeliers.
The Galleries run the full length of the Nave and provide fixed Pew seating, with plenty of extra room for sound & lighting engineers to go about their work.
Fast becoming one of our favourite venues in London, Christ Church is also surprisingly affordable – with charities receiving a particularly humble bill.
