Fairytale wedding venue near London – Fulham Palace
Here at Function Fixers, we’ve had more requests than we can count from women who want a fairytale wedding. A castle on a lake, a magical woodland in the moonlight, we’ve heard it all – but now, we can offer you the ulimate setting for your big day – a real Palace.
Fulham Palace is unique, spectacular, and in easy reach of West London. This beautiful place is set in 13 acres of immaculate botanical gardens, and offers a truly inspirational setting for a fairytale wedding. Available to hire exclusively and able to facilitate even the most unusual and extravagant of themes and ideas, this normally tranquil venue gives you lots of options for your reception and really comes to life for the party. In the grounds, there are two huge private walled spaces available to hire for summer receptions, but unfortunately, marquees are not permitted on the lawns.
There’s a choice of seven rooms available for wedding celebrations. The Great Hall can hold up to 110 guests for a seated banquet, with beautiful wooden panelling, original coicing and a stunning gothic fireplace.
Bishop Terrick’s Drawing Room is elegant and understated, with an oate ceiling and far-reaching views over the south lawn. Up to 50 guests can be seated here, and the room adjoins onto Bishop Terrick’s Dining Room – which features tall Georgian windows and another gorgeous fireplace. Perfect for a small ceremony, this room seats up to 25 guests.
For something with a little more flair, you could go for the Bishop Sherlock’s Room, which was fully restored and refurbished in 2006. This space (able to hold 80 for a ceremony) is so exclusive that it must be hired by special arrangement. Function Fixers can help you to book your celebration in this light and airy room, which also has enormous original windows and a magnificent Rococo ceiling.
The Victorian Chapel at Fulham Palace is historic and utterly mesmerising. It is still in use as the private chapel of the Bishop of London, and can provide you with a traditional and spiritual place for a blessing after your ceremony. Seating 90 guests, this charming and soothing space is brought to life with the simple additions of floral decorations, and there’s even an organ residing here, which is used regularly and is in full working order.
Each event at Fulham Palace is considered personally by the venue, and as such, you can build your bespoke menu from scratch with your budget and tastes at the forefront of planning. Anything from a hog roast and ale to a lavish spread of canapés and champagne is easily whipped up, and the presentation and quality of the food is certain to impress.
Call Function Fixers to arrange a visit free of charge to Fulham Palace, or to discuss how this stunning and accommodating venue can help you make your big day everything you want it to be and more.
