Fantastic pizzeria in Oxford, with top quality food on a budget!
For an informal evening of fun with colleagues, friends or family, nothing is much better than tearing a pizza apart over good wine and witty conversation. Most mainstream and high street pizzerias tend to be surprisingly expensive – but we’ve found a budget restaurant that serves top quality food in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
Fire & Stone is a quirky and unusual restaurant, offering an enormous range of food and putting mode twists on the traditional, familiar and much-loved pizza.
This venue takes its inspiration from cultures and countries right around the globe. The chefs here create hand stretched pizza bases, which are topped with authentic, extraordinary and worldly flavour combinations – using only the freshest ingredients and executed by skilled and specialist chefs.
The result on the plate is a completely unique range of tastes, which can transport you to just about in country in the world. Moroccan spiced lamb to Mediterranean seafood, Chinese peking duck to Mexican chicken, it’s all here – and there’s enough choice to be certain you’ll find something for even the fussiest of eater. There’s even a British option! For the more gastronomically explorative among your party, selecting which pizza to have is a very difficult choice indeed, and you may find yourselves coming back to Fire & Stone again and again to sample all the flavours which take your fancy.
For just £19.95 per person, you can receive a starter, main course, dessert AND a drink from a set menu. You can, however, tailor your set menu to provide dishes you’re certain will go down well with your guests – this really is incredible value for money and makes for a full and very satisfied stomach on a much more modest budget.
The menu also offers a huge selection of starters, salads and pastas, not to mention an inteational wine list. Refreshing and inventive cocktails are also available, as well as luxurious desserts and tempting side dishes.
