The Harrogate International Centre – spectacular, versatile and limitless

This is a truly spectacular venue.  Able to host any kind of event, this enormous building offering staggering event spaces that leave guests breathless upon their warm welcome.  Ideal for large-scale conferencing, the imposing and beautifully decorated contemporary auditorium here boasts 1026 seats, including 10 wheelchair spaces and 436 free-standing chairs.  A 9.8m wide, 1.3m high and 8.17m deep fixed stage provides every kind of technology and staging equipment to achieve maximum impact and style (as well as fantastic acoustics), and the professional in-house event management and technical support are on hand from start to finish.

For additional space, you can also hire the Edwardian Royal Hall (pictured) which offers another auditorium with 1,000 seats, and just adjacent to that, there’s a blank canvas space named The Queens Suite – which gives you 650m.sq. of floor space that can be divided up to form a maximum of 10 different sections.

The size of this venue borders on unbelievable, as there’s also a purpose-designed exhibition space boasting 18,500m.sq. of versatile and contemporary studios, ranging in size, offering plenty of natural light and a neutral environment for displaying products and artwork.  Having said that, the HIC is also happy to hire these rooms out individually for smaller events (including receptions, conferences and banqueting).  They also make ideal smaller workstations, break-out spaces or meeting rooms.

Catering is all handled on-site, and as you can imagine from a venue that is as multipurpose as the HIC, a huge range of menus is available.  It’s really more a question of setting a budget and telling you event manager what you would like to serve.  Packages to suit any function from a meeting for two to a banquet for 850 people are adapted to suit your needs, and the staff are experienced in delivering high quality service that reflects your brand and requirements.  All food is locally sourced, fresh and presented skillfully.
