The building uses no fossil fuels whatsoever, and is powered by electricity and solar power, while the heating is sourced from the ground below and rainwater is harvested for various purposes. Even though the technologies are relatively new, this venue still runs as reliably as clockwork, and everything functions to a very high standard. The purpose-built auditorium can hold up to 270 people, and is comfortable and practical with state of the art AV and sound equipment – all eco-friendly, of course! Breakout areas include a decked terrace overlooking Victoria Docks, and the on site restaurant serves locally sourced fresh food all year round.
