The ICA is a stunning corporate venue, once described as the ‘cultural heartbeat of London’ by Damien Hirst. Located on The Mall in Central London, this versatile and vibrant building offers a comprehensive range of stunning events spaces. Boasting beautiful 18th century reception rooms that have been brought into the 21st century with excellent technological facilities, a fully equipped theatre, a spacious artist’s studio and two private Cinema spaces.
The resident caterers can create seasonal, unusual, imaginative and bespoke menus for you, including buffets, canapés and sit-down meals – all washed down with a carefully chosen selection of your choice of beverages.
The Nash and Brandon Rooms have views of the Mall, Big Ben and the London Eye, and have a maximum capacity of 150 guests for a standing reception when the two rooms are hired in conjunction. Situated on the 1st floor of the ICA, these Grade 1 listed rooms have many original features and have a grand, aristocratic feel to them. Much unlike the contemporary design of the ICA’s gallery spaces, these rooms ooze Regency style and are reached by a grand staircase via a private entrance. However, all the mod cons you need for a successful press launch, conference or meeting are here, including a cleverly designed hanging system for banners and company branding.
The ICA also offers two cinemas. These recently refurbished screens are regularly used for press views, conferencing, presentations and private screenings. Both have direct access to the charming ICA Café Bar, which serves up a range of alcoholic drinks, coffees, teas and fizz (and two-for-one cocktails on a Tuesday evening) – all of which can be brought into the cinema with you. Screen 1 can seat up to 185, and you can fit 40 in Screen 2. Both screens can play DCP, Digi Beta, 35mm, DVD, Blu Ray and computer files.
The ICA Studio is a private members’ lounge, and this space can be hired for a stylish receptions outside of public hours. This industrial blank canvas room has tables and benches for up to 40 people and enough space for up to 90 standing, beautiful pendant lighting, and displays of unique art works and archive materials personal to the ICA.
The Theatre is a flexible performance and rehearsal space, regularly hosting music concerts, theatrical productions, daytime creative sessions, private parties and fashion shows. This blank canvas space can be configured in a wide variety of ways, with a maximum capacity of 350 standing or 150 seated in theatre-style. As you’d expect from a hub of arts, crafts and performance, the Theatre comes with full, high-quality sound and lighting systems, and a variety of AV and IT equipment which is available at your request and set up by an experienced technician.
