Stunning French cuisine in London
B Bakery County Hall is one of London’s most accomplished and quirky cafés. This feminine, stylish and proud-to-be-different venue can be hired any evening from 6pm till 12 for parties of up to 50. Birthday parties, team building events and corporate receptions take place here on a regular basis, and for a food lover (particularly those with a sweet tooth), this really is heaven. The show kitchen, complete with authentic bread oven, serves up fabulous French pastries and novelty cakes, and the cooking classes and demonstrations have proved themselves as a really enjoyable activity for guests – not to mention the impressive selection of French wines and champagnes on offer! Fun and unusual, this Southbank party venue offers everything you could need for a stylish private event. A late 2am license can also be purchased if you’d like to keep the party going into the night.
The wonderful displays on the walls immediately catch the eye, embodying French chic and depicting landmarks and people going about city life. The seating areas are ultra comfortable and beautifully decorated with immaculate attention to detail, but the real selling point of the B Bakery are the fabulous cakes and pastries.
What the chefs can do here is really quite remarkable. Top quality ingredients are prepared in traditional practice, and achieve outstanding results. For example, their Christmas menu features an entire village made out of cake. Houses with incredible detail, tiny people standing under sugar cane lamp posts and marzipan post boxes are just a few examples of what you can find in this tiny edible haven, and the attention to detail doesn’t stop there.
Every single millimetre of the food prepared here is elegant and executed beautifully. Just a seemingly simple cream tea will present you with stunning fairy cakes featuring hand-made candy flowers, a selection of pastries which will have you rolling your eyes with satisfaction, delicate sandwiches with fresh organic fillings, and scones dribbling in home made jam. For just £33 per head, you can even upgrade to a champagne tea for two, and wash all those lovely nibbles down with a glass of luxury bubbles. For birthday celebrations, you can have a delicious tailor made cake brought out, decorated and presented to your exact requirements.
The impressive sweet canapé menu is certain to impress colleagues, clients or guests. Dainty treats are presented on silver platters, and you can choose what you’d like to serve from an enormous and frankly sinful menu. Definitely not the place to go if you’re trying to diet, this venue will keep you both entertained and well fed – as well as looked after to the highest standards possible by the ever-accommodating staff.
Call Function Fixers to book an event at The B Bakery, or simply to visit and experience this venue for a weekend treat or a meeting with clients. It does have to be booked well in advance, even if you’d just like to drop in – and our solid relationship with this venue means we can guarantee you an evening to remember here.
